My initial gauge of snow depth comes from my snow shovelling when I first get up to the lodge.

I can attest that we have a good base and are on par with last years great snowpack. Once we get rolling we will get the track set on the access road, probably around the end of the month. In the meantime, there is a pretty good skier track set trail all the way to the lake.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our returning guests and meeting lots of new folks this winter. If you always have wanted to experience the magic of O’Hara in the winter, looking for an escape or a first introduction to the backcountry. O’Hara is that kind of place.

Our historic lodge with the comforts of home coupled with amazing food prepared by our long time chef welcome you. If you want to come and stay with us we still have a little bit of space on the weekend of February 8th and 9th. Give us a call if you are interested.

Staring on Saturday February 2nd we will once again be offering a light lunch to folks skiing up for the day. Every Saturday and Sunday until March 24th we offer a light lunch of soup, salad, dessert and coffee or tea for $22 (cash only) from noon till 2 PM. Start early so you don’t miss out! If you are just skiing up for the day and not interested in joining us for lunch, the Day Shelter is open for people to light a fire, eat their lunch and relax prior to skiing back down the road. Either way make sure you are prepared and carry water and snacks for the road.
