Access to the Lake O'Hara area is restricted, and all summer guests must take the lodge's shuttle bus; no private vehicles are allowed into the area.
In addition to the lodge, there are two other types of accommodation around Lake O'Hara: Parks Canada operates a backcountry campground. For information, call 250-343-6433.
The Alpine Club of Canada's historic Elizabeth Parker Hut accommodates 24 people in a rustic, dorm-style cabin. For information and bookings contact the Alpine Club of Canada at 403 678-3200.
